Well this is the third week of this term. So far, no problems. I'm glad for that especially after having a hard term last one. Its starting to snow here again. Can't stand snow!! I just hope we don't get as much as they are calling for. My husband and I are suppose to be moving a friend's daughter from Wisconsin to Arizona.....can't wait! Warm weather and sunshine, what a change that will be. Plus this will be the first REAL vacation my husband and I have had since we have been together. The nice thing is is that it is being paid for by someone else, so its a FREE trip, all expenses paid. Gotta love it. I am looking forward to doing my paper. Like I had mentioned, my son started gaining weight once he started school full time, so around the age of 5-6 yrs of age. I thought because I had been overweight for most of my adult life that it was hereditary. During my research I have found out for the most part it's not. My son is 26 now so this was over 20 yrs ago when this was not well known or publicized like it is now. I am a firm believer that school lunches play a big part in the problem kids are facing now a days. My son was a home body when he was younger, but not in the way you would think. He read a lot of books when he was young. We did not have access to computers or computer games back then like they do now. Yes, he did watch a lot of TV, but there were not a lot of kids around in his age group so he did not go out and play a lot. He was, though, active in sports. He played baseball for about 4 years then he got into football in 5th grade, when they allowed them to play, all the way through till his Sophomore year of high school when he had to have knee surgery and the training was too rough on kids back then. Literally they were in training all through school, not just during football season. Made it tough to do your school work and keep up your grades so you could continue to play on the team. I am very proud of his accomplishments in H.S. He was in all honors classes and was able to get scholarships, not in sports but in Academics which is what schools should concentrate on, not sports.
Well I could go on, but I will save it for next week.
Bye till then
